Ever had a last minute birthday party, ran around looking for wrapping paper and tape to wrap the gift? Then use a scrap a wrapping paper for the gift tag cause you didn't have one? Well that was me last weekend. So I made up a pretty hybrid gift tag real fast instead of a lame old half fold piece of wrapping paper. I used Danielle's adorable kit Birthday Bash. And I'm sharing it here with you, so you too can have a pretty gift tag for those last minute emergency situations!

Can you believe that we are already into our third month? It feels like just yesterday I was waking up at 5:30am to open presents with my little ones. Anyhow, to celebrate I made a desktop wallpaper using Danielle's kit called "Recycled Art". I thought the colors worked perfectly with March. Be sure to add your little leprechaun and save it as a .jpg before you add it to you desktop. After you are done with that check out the AWESOME kit. I know it has been a favorite around here.

You Rock My…Journaling?

Hey everyone! I got a bit of a challenge for you here today. I'm broaching the subject of journaling and in my experience in digi scrapping you either love it or you hate it. I'm in the hate it category. And frankly it scares me. Everytime I see a journaled LO it is so heartfelt and they knew just what they wanted to say. Me? I never know what I want to say - I have to stop in the middle of a lot of my sentences because my mouth can't quite get things right. One of my New Year's resolutions is to try and be better at adding journaling to my LO's because after all aren't they a keepsake of a moment I want to remember? So far I'm failing miserably but in this past week I've been doing some soul searching, doing some reading and wanted to give a few tips that have made it less of a scary thing to do. 1. Make it from the heart - don't just put something down because you want to try make sure you really think about what you want to put down and be honest about it. 2. Think about the person in the photo - write what you want them to know about it for them to see when you're not there. You may not always be able to explain it to them. 3. It doesn't have to be a story - maybe it was a feeling that overcame you, maybe you just have so much feeling from the subject that you could just burst! Let it out. When I challenged myself to add journaling I came to a LO I had already done. It's of my DD giving me the sweetest smile and it really took me back to that day. It was an awful, horrible, no good, very bad day and when I came home that's what was waiting for me and in those moments it turned my day around. She truly tilted my world back right. She did 3 things - very different things and my journaling, while a bit disconnected, shows that and she'll know that she made me smile for the first time that day, made me happy and made my world right. Before After So now I challenge you to add some words to your life - I know those who mean to world to you will appreciate it.

Danielle has released 3 more products today to her shop at Polka Dot Plum and they are great packs to have in your stash! And a couple of older layouts of mine. The goat one has the stitches and uses Barnyard Ruckus by Danielle. The Pool layout uses a bunch of stuff not currently available by Danielle and the Take Note set.
